Kalyani’s knee & shoulder clinic was founded in 2010 with idea of giving state of the art knee & shoulder care to patients from varanasi & adjoining districts.
Clinic has made significant progress since then with over 8000 registered patients and has succesfully provided treatment to all section of society ranging from International level Athletes to Geriatric population and helped them get rid of their ailments.
Kalyani’s knee & shoulder clinic had been providing advanced knee & shoulder care with a very efficient rehab team work and is Pioneer in Initiating & Spreading Advanced Arthroscopy services across Poorvanchal.
Clinic works in close association to Yashlok Hospital & Research centre, Prayagraj and provides Knee & shoulder services at Prayagraj on regular basis.

Dr. VK Pandey is pioneer knee and shoulder surgeon in Varanasi. He has been into specialised knee and shoulder practice since Jan 2010. Dr VK Pandey completed medical graduate exam in 2001 and
postgraduate in Orthopaedics in 2004 from MLN Medical College, Allahabad.
After completing his post-graduation in Orthopaedics, He went to Delhi to gather advanced Orthopaedic knowledge and skills. He worked as senior registrar at Aruna Asaf All Govt Hospital, Delhi from Oct 2004 to June 2005. He then joined Indian Spinal Injuries Center, New Delhi, one of the premier institutes in Delhi, as secondary DNB candidate in July 2005. He passed DNB exam in first attempt in 2007, and became the first candidate to pass DNB Orthopaedics from Indian Spinal Injuries Center.
After passing DNB exams, he was offered post of senior registrar at ISIC and got an opportunity to work with Dr J Maheshwari, teacher & mentor.
Dr VK Pandey completed prestigious J&J Arthroplasty fellowship in 2008. During his 3 yrs. association with Dr. J Maheshwari at Indian Spinal Injuries Center & Dr J Maheshwari’s Knee & Shoulder Clinic, he learned art of diagnosing and treating complex knee and shoulder conditions. In 2009, he was offered post of Consultant Joint Replacement & Arthroscopic Surgeon at Indian Spinal Injuries Center, New Delhi.
In quest of knowledge and skill enhancement, He went to Munich (Germany), Dusseldorf, Yorkshire (UK), Korea, & Singapore to enhance his arthroscopy skills.
He shifted to Varanasi in 2010 and started his specialized knee and shoulder clinic. He started performing complex arthroscopic surgeries for knee and shoulder in Varanasi. In 2010, he performed live arthroscopic surgeries in 1st live arthroscopy workshop in Varanasi. Since then he has successfully established himself as a front-runner Arthroscopist & Knee and Shoulder surgeon in Varanasi. Till date he has performed over 2000 arthroscopic surgeries across eastern UP & Bihar.
He keeps attending national and international conferences for up gradation of knowledge regarding knee and shoulder problems. He is a regular faculty at regional & national level Arthroscopy conferences. He is often invited as speaker for topics based on knee and shoulder problems & Arthroscopic surgeries. In 2021, he had been elected Secretary Arthroscopy Association of Uttar Pradesh in recognition of his contribution to Arthroscopy services across Uttar Pradesh.
